Erasmus Shuttle

The new shuttle train connection between Switzerland, Baden Wuerttemberg as well as the Alsace region and the largest container port of Europe.

Twice weekly the ”Erasmus-Shuttle” does connect the Container terminal Basel Bad Ubf (Duss) - overnight - with the Rotterdam terminals of Rail Service Center (RSC) and Maasvlakte (MVL).

Advanced Containerlogistics.

Domestic traffic per truck towards Switzerland, southern Germany and Alsace and also Rail on/off carriage to all operated stations and private sidings in Switzerland with the Swiss Split ( provided that no wooden platform wagons need to be used) are possible.

The Erasmus Shuttle sees itself as a open „IMS company train“.
The traction is provided by private railway companies, the operational processing and production is exclusively in our hands. Which means that the trains are at our risk. We take the decision of which container gets loaded.

Another advantage is our short time in transit of approx 18 hours from Rotterdam
