Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,As already announced in our last newsletter dated 09.01.2024, we had to adjust the surcharge for all rail transports to and from German domestic terminals due to the reduction in track subsidies and the resulting increase in infrastructure costs.
The reduction in track subsidies now also has a direct impact on the Austrian market, which is why we are unfortunately forced to make the following adjustments:
An infrastructure surcharge of € 8.00 per TEU will be charged for all rail transports to and from the northern and western ports to Austrian inland terminals.
In order to remain as transparent as possible, please find an overview of the current surcharges below:
Fuel surcharge:
- For transports via German inland terminals and Wolfurt a diesel surcharge of 12% will be charged.
- For transports via Austrian inland terminals other than Wolfurt, a diesel surcharge of 6% is levied.
This surcharge applies exclusively to the truck freight rate and is shown separately on the invoice.
Energy surcharge:
- An energy surcharge of € 25.00 per TEU will be charged for all rail transports to and from the southern ports.
- An energy surcharge of € 12.00 per TEU will be charged for all rail transports to and from German inland terminals (excluding southern ports).
- No surcharge is levied for all rail transports to and from the northern and western ports to Austrian inland terminals.
Renaming Congestion Surcharge -> Infrastructure Surcharge
- An infrastructure surcharge of € 12.00 per TEU will be charged for all rail transports to and from German inland terminals.
- For all rail transports to and from the northern and western ports to Austrian inland terminals, an infrastructure surcharge of € 8.00 per TEU will be charged.
A congestion surcharge will not be charged by IMS.
Furthermore, we will make adjustments (extensions or reductions) to our combined price list, for which your account manager will contact you separately.
